The Eyes of Texas are Upon You,,,,49-9

A thing of beauty is a joy forever. The scoreboard last night was truly ,,magnificently,,gloriously,,lopsidedly,,,FINALLY,,,a thing of beauty. We did what we needed to do. We flat out kicked some aggie arse. Up and down the field, around the field,,we

gave a burnt orange and white welcome to the visitors from that school in college station. Picked em up, threw em down and said Howdy. On camera. In front of 90plus thousand mostly adoring fans,,we won. Wait,,we didn't just win. We DOMINATED. The biggest win since the matchup started one hundred years ago. I love my Horns.

Twas the best Thanksgiving I can remember. Truly. I cooked. A feast in fact. All night and all day I cooked. I actually remember how. Turkey, ham,,the whole shebang. We even used the good china and dressed up for dinner. And then there was football. It was just a grand day.

Today I've been pathetic. Haven't dressed. Don't intend to. Worn out by the game yesterday. No shopping on Black Friday. I'm having my own Burnt Orange Friday. A day of pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes and coffee for breakfast. A long nap. Watched Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Separate blog on that later. My one contribution or imitation of productivity,,,I answered the phone three times AND I got out the Christmas dishes. Pathetic. Happy. So happy. Come what may with the freakin BCS,,,we humiliated the aggies and I'm happy.

To their credit they played a relatively clean game. Kudos to their new coach for that. Much more sportsmanlike than previous years. No flagrant blatant out of bounds late hits. A couple of cheap shots but considering the mindset of the aggies it was one of their classier performances. Coming from me,,that's high praise. I mentioned this to a friend and he suggested possibly they couldn't get close enough to our players to make late hits or intentional face mask plays,,could be. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now and allow myself the delusion that they were meaning and intending to play clean ball.
