I voted for " That One"
I can exhale now. It appears I will not have to move to Canada, or Mexico, at least for now. "That One" ,,won. Not a questionable win. Not a waiting on the possibility of maybe some lost votes in Florida to confirm the win. A landslide. A rout. An overwhelming statement from an overwhelming majority,,time for a change. A gracious, elegant win. A gracious, elegant concession. Intelligence, it seems, prevailed.
My Horns are no longer perched atop the polls. They didn't fall far in their tumble,,but they aren't at the pinnacle of perfection level. I'm not sure they ever should have been. We're good. We're disciplined and honorable and motivated and consistent. We're also fairly young, a bit on the small side, coached by new faces,,,we are a winning miracle,,but I think at this point we sit where we should. I rather liked the view from the top but this feels more like it should. For the record,,I still don't like Mike Leach. He reminds me a bit of that coach from across the Red River that ruined my Cowboys. The name I will not say. He's a renegade, a rogue, an outlaw. He encourages those behaviours in his players. There is precious little honor to be seen. The young QB from Tech. He plays with honor. His coach could learn much from him.
My Beast went on a grand adventure today. He escaped and took his housemates with him. They romped and ran and finally returned home ,,hungry, thirsty, dirty and with so much to tell but just oh so tired and no energy to tell the tales. At least they are home.
Running on zero sleep right now. I woke up Tuesday morning at 0430,,it's now Wednesday evening ,,roughly 730pm. I think I've had two hours sleep in the last 39 hours. I'm sure I've rambled. I'll straighten it out tomorrow. For now,,,I'm headed to bed. There is a long fall nap in my future. The Eyes of Texas are upon you,,,,
Love to all,,,Hook 'em!!!
Reading: You've got to be kidding
Listening to: I think that's me snoring
