Life at Estrogen Estates

Yes. That is Maggie on top of me. I was on the floor and she was smishing me. Do not try and look at it sideways. It's correct. It's us being us.
A huge sigh of relief this week. What could have been horrid is simply grim. I think. I hope. The gremlin is disappointed. He had hoped to take up permanent residence in my gut. I have muted him for the moment. Not completely silenced,,,muted. For now.
New work is glorious at the moment. I didn't know places like this existed. I don't remember the last time I couldn't wait to get to work and actually wanted to go in on my days off because I missed it.
There is a scoot headed this direction. Should arrive tomorrow. Ready.
Repainting the entire interior of Estrogen Estates. Lovely buttery peachy goldish color. I'm speckled. It looks grand. Floors next. They will be espresso hardwood. Yard is blooming with virtually every pink flower imaginable. Of course.
Professor has just hauled my shoes from my closet to my feet. I think he wants to go play outside. I think it's a grand idea.

The Moose Revealed

Life is,,well,,it's better than the alternative I suppose. Some days. I've been thrown a minor curveball, had the rug yanked out from under me,,,I think I've landed on my feet. I just hope my feet don't fail me.
I survived the birthday. Yes,,I did the cartwheels,,passed on the front handspring this year. My plan has always been to go skydiving for my 50th birthday. I'm rethinking that idea. It would be over in 3 minutes,,I would probably pee on myself ,,and get hurt in the process. I'm thinking boob job and/or red convertible. Dave is happy with my decision. He has reserved the right to pick them out,,,boobs and car. He doesn't much like red cars though. Might have to be black. I think he likes red cars better than he likes skydiving. He was pretty clear on his level of nonparticipation in the whole jumping out of an airplane thing. He was equally as clear on his level of complete participation in a boob job. Seems a fairly easy choice.
Work,,the rug that got yanked while I was dodging a batting machine fully loaded and set at 140mph. Right now I'm working at the most marvelous place I never knew existed. Paradise with brick walls and gardens and angelic nurses and amazing families. I can't wait to get there. I wish I could go every day. It's an honor to work with these people.
The girls are good. Mallory will be moving back to Texas soon I think. She wants to teach Texas Princesses that take dance lessons and ride ponies. She wants to order margaritas from a sunny patio and hear someone say "ya'll". She's contemplating a summer in Paris before returning to Texas. Maggie is here most of the time. I think. Her mess and clutter are here. Her posse is here. Her laundry mountain is here,,I'm guessing she is too.
The boys are noisy, destructive, oh so cute and very devoted. Joey is ancient. His ears are wrinkled and bent, his hair is turning white, he gets lost on his pillow. He's 14 I think. Beast is still the perfect boy. Vander is a total spasmatron. Very cute in an ugly sort of way,,but sweet. Professor may be the cutest boy ever. I really should post some pictures of them.
The Pirate,,well he is perfect. He's perfectly away right now,,off on a scoot trip. He's perfect though. Just ask him.
It's late. I'm tired. I miss my Pirate. I'm still old. I'm still very much an icky Moose. I want to see Alicia.
