Yes,,we need a little Christmas

Haul out the holly;
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again.
Fill up the stocking,I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now.
For we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute.
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;
So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.
For I've grown a little leaner,
Grown a little colder,
Grown a little sadder,
Grown a little older,

And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder,
Need a little Christmas now.

Haul out the holly
Well, once I taught you all to live each living day
Fill up the stocking,
But Auntie Man, it's one week from Thanksgiving Day now
But we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute,
Candles in the window,
Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute.
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry
So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.
For we need a little music,
Need a little laughter,
Need a little singing
Ringing through the rafter,
And we need a little snappy"Happy ever after,"
Need a little Christmas now
Need a little Christmas now.

Smitten

Completely. Totally. Infactually. (Yes that is a word. I used it in sentence. )
Smitten.

Works sucks. I don't even care. Huge happy place inside.

Smitten.

I hate, despise, abhor, dislike, cannot stand, have no respect for, detest and loathe all that is aggie. Even if we had won,,I would feel the same. I cannot abide them,,individually,,as a group,,as a university.
Not a good day for the Longhorns. We played like hell, didn't deserve to win,,but to lose to this institution just hurts my soul. Did I mention I don't particularly care for the school in college station?
We STILL have no offensive coordinator that I can see. We look like a herd of cats on the field. The Matador defense showed up,,let em in,,encourage em to come on in,,then deal with em after the fact. It worked just like it always does,,,not at all. We sucked. Out loud. Publically. On national television. A perfect end to a perfect mediocre season. Sigh.
And,,like today wasn't just glowingly spectacular enough,,,Mallory leaves tomorrow. And I get to work. Can life get any better?

ugggghhhhh

Finally

It's here. Today is finally here. Six hours and I will have my first born home with me. I called and she is at the airport. She will be here. I don't even know what to do with myself. I'm just spinning around smiling. Six hours. Today. Mallory. Her room is ready. The house is ready. The kitchen is stocked. The Prodigal Child returns. Today. Soon. Home.
Got confirmation yesterday from The Mother. As of right now,,they will all be here for Thanksgiving. A house full. A good thing. Let's see,,,that will be 11 for Thanksgiving dinner. Possibly more. Excellent. Big turkey. Big Feast. Firewood will be delivered later today in anticipation of cool weather. The fireplace is an excellent distraction for my Daddy. Of course since I'm the one that will have selected the firewood there will be cause for a wee lecture. It will be of the wrong variety and stacked incorrectly I'm sure. What are Daddys for if not to lecture?
Must get ready now. Will she recognize me? She's coming home. Today.
